3D Modeling
I began 3D Modeling junior year (fall 2019) of college. Since then I’ve been making models and texturing them for rapid prototyping.
All of these models were sculpted using Zbrush, painted via Substance Painter, and retopologized via Maya.
This is a personal project surrounding the myth of Arachne. Arachne was a fine weaver on her loom in ancient Greece. She was so good, she boasted her skill was greater than that of Athena, the goddess of wisdom (who was famed for her loom craft). Athena appeared to her as an old woman after hearing such rumors and challenged her to a duel. They both set to weaving as both were extremely prideful in their craft. In the end, when they presented their works, Arachne’s was judged to be better. Filled with bitter jealously, Athena transformed before her adversary as her true self. She then ‘cursed’ Arachne, transforming her into a spider. Forced to be a weaver till the end of time.
Eventually, I plan to have her fully textured, posed, and painted.
