A Cog in the Cosmic Machine

Sometimes you have to make hard choices: sacrificing your crew members may be bad, but ticking off your stockholders could be worse. In A Cog in the Cosmic Machine, you are an AI transporting cargo through the dangers of space and capitalism. The only constant in space is value. Construct and modify your ship in preparation for your journey; manage your resources effectively to survive the long trip safely to port. Explore a branching narrative as you make tough decisions, navigate crew tensions, and balance the value of human lives with the value of cold, hard capital.

This was the class of 2021’s senior capstone. On this project I was the art lead guiding a small group of 3-4 artists. My role was to directly lead my squad while communication with my team of 20+ designers, writers, and programmers.

The Puppeteer

This was a game created for the 2022 Global Game Jam where the theme was duality. My partner and I settled on the duality between a puppeteer and their puppets. Without the puppeteer, the puppets are just lifeless dolls. Without the puppets, the puppeteer is just a person. Together, they become two different things.

In this game you play as a Puppeteer trying to put on a show. Press the keys in the right order and fast enough to please your audience.

My role in this project was as designer, animator and artist.

Star Stitch

Star Stitch was made for the 2020 Global Game Jam from Jan 31-Feb 2. The theme was repair, so in Star Stitch you repair the constellations in the sky. Star Stitch is a VR experience and thus requires a VR headset to play.

Our game follows the player as they attempt to re-ignite the stars and stitch constellations back together after they were swallowed by an evil dragon. Players will learn about the stories behind many of the most famous constellations as they solve our puzzles.

My role in this project encapsulates art and design.

Lost Eye Found

A game made for Global Game Jam 2021.

Ocula is a doll prone to sleepwalking. In her sleep, she accidentally misplaces her eyes around her house. Using her sight, guide Ocula's body back to her eyes. The day must go on!

My partner and I worked together over a very short period of time to create a cute, and oddly liminal, 3D game. During play, the player must understand their point of view in their environment, and use this understand to solve puzzles.

My role in this project was as designer and artist.

Bad Boiz All Around

Bad Boiz All Around is a 2D top-down space shooter. Players control a space fighter against the "Bad Boiz". Fly around space using blasters and shockwaves to defend yourself as long as possible against the oncoming "Bad Boiz". There's no way out, the only question is how many you'll take down with you.

On this project I designed and polished all visuals, and aided in design.
