I’ve been known to create some fanart now and again.
Personal Process
First, I create a number of thumbnails to properly nail down a good composition. These are usually rougher and less detailed. I do this to assure that all characters and actions that take place are legible why still maintaining dynamism.
Once a composition is chosen, I move on to detailing emotions, body language, and iron out any quirks.
After the lineart is completed, I move on to coloring.
Below is another example of the process simplified.
Before I finish a piece, I ask for feedback from my peers or family. More eyes are better than one. When this is done, the piece is complete
